Live Bitcoin and Ethereum prices in Moroccan dirhams and US dollars, with 24-hour change and a 7-day trend chart. Updated every page load from Binance public data.
BTC and ETH are global assets quoted in US dollars. To get the dirham figure, this page multiplies the USD price by the live USD/MAD rate. The rate updates roughly every 4 hours, so the MAD figure can lag a few hours behind US-dollar moves.
The 24-hour change is from Binance and reflects the rolling last-24-hour return in USD. The 7-day chart is daily closing prices, also USD.
Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM), Morocco's central bank, has been clear that cryptocurrency transactions are not regulated and not licensed for use as a means of payment in Morocco. A draft crypto law has been under discussion since 2022 but has not yet passed. As of today, holding or trading crypto is widely done in practice, but it is not protected under Moroccan financial-services law - if you lose money on a foreign exchange, BAM cannot help.
For Moroccan investors who care about diversification, the practical implication is: treat crypto exposure as a foreign-asset position, not a domestic financial product. The same caution that applies to unlicensed offshore brokerage accounts applies here.
Most Moroccan readers see crypto prices in USD only and have to convert mentally. Quoting both USD and MAD on one page makes the local impact visible - especially when the dirham is moving against the dollar at the same time as crypto. A 5% BTC drop combined with a 1% MAD weakening looks larger from a Moroccan saver's perspective than the headline USD move alone.
